good article about goa..i’m from Goa..i actually grew up in that place..but sad to say, i no longer live in the area..there are a lot of scenarios that is great about that place..try going to the barrios..you’ll appreciate more the Goa i’ve learned to love and trully miss.. frances

I always spend my summer vacation in Goa while I was growing up. Have been to a lot of places in and around Goa. Good old days! People come and go, but nature stays mostly the same. This is one reason I always go back when I get a chance.

I grew up in Goa but haven’t been home for 13 years now, been living and working in Unonratchathani Thailand, officially became a Thai citizen 2 years ago… I really miss my family and friends back home. Thanks for these lovely photos. I hope you could include some photos of barangay Halawig-gogon. Thanks.

thanks to your blog, a very interesting one…i was born & raised in barangay san benito, unfortunately, because i almost grew up away from my own town, most of my neighbors don’t know me much but mind you, most of my classmates from st paul academy do, thanks to that… now, i’m looking forward to see them again after 25 years, it’s always good to be back in my own town….

I really miss the place were i spent my childhood with , how i wish i can visit my lola there. I lived before in 898 L. Pan Street to be exact. We belong to the Pan Clan and my Great Grand Father was the First Mayor of Goa he was Don Lauriano Pan. and also my Uncle he became a Mayor of Goa, Honorable Marcel S. Pan. Hope i can go back there. reminisce the past and be with my loved ones.

I love GOA, I was born and was raised in one of the barangays of that beautiful town, I miss the place but each of us have their own way to go, as destined. Me and my family are here in the States. Last June we went back home for my nanay’s wake and burial. I miss her memories, me and her together, best friend, best buddy.. but hard to accept, with God’s plan , we can never resist. I LOVE GOA..with her memories.. I WILL ALWAYS BE COMING BACK HOME, to offer her beautiful flowers and extreme prayers..She is one of the teacher in Partido State College, Mrs Beatriz Pasa…. I love her and missed her so much.. Thanks for this website..

I married a filipina from Goa. her maiden name was Salvacion Cantuba. her mother and sister and her 7 children still live there. I have been there once, we bought her family home there.

Thanks for blogging about Goa. I was missing some of my long lost friends and classmates during my grade school and high school days in St. Paul Acadamy and so i thought of googling “St. Paul Academy, Goa, Camarines Sur” hoping i could find something on the internet and that brought me to this page. It just brought back wonderful memories of Goa! I’m hoping I can go back home for Christmas this year. I miss everything about Bicol…haven’t seen it in 7 years!

Thanks for this nice blog about Goa. I’m missing home so much that’s why i googled for pictures of Goa…and here, I found a lot.

I was born there, grew up and rented a house in Panday Street. Then in 1993 we bought a house in Tambuco Street. That’s were my whole family lives since then. I spent grade school and high school in Saint Paul Academy.

i was born in iriga city but was raised in goa. i have so many childhood memories of this lovely town. although i now stay here in manila, i know i will always go back to goa, dawa bakasyon lang but i definitely wil.. my family is ther, especially my lovely mamita, who i miss so much now..i finished elementary in goa central school while i graduated high school and college in partido state university.

I was surfing the net and stumbled on to this site. I did not grow up in Goa but spent lots of summers there as a young Manilenya. Papa loved this
hometown of his, from the Pan family at La Purisima St. Ismael B. Pan
would have been so proud to see them talk more about his hometown if he was still alive. This brings his memory back and I miss Papa.

My mother was born and grew up in Goa. When she was in college my father was courting her but my grandfather (Francisco Pan Orfida) don’t like my father. My father loves my mother very much such that he ELOPED (nagtanan) with my mother and since then resided in Manila and haven’t come back. Now bothof them died already and I haven’t seen or set my feet in Goa. I also want to experience where my mother came from …. hope I can made it since I am getting Gurang na already. Incidentally, I have a house in Sorsogon where my family resides. I am working here in Yanbu SAUDI and since 2003 up to now I haven’t made my vacation. I hope in 2011 I can go home. I am planning to have a house somewhere there in Goa …. Hope I can make it, hindi naman masamang mangarap !!! Regards…
